Moleto A. Smith Jr. currently serves as a member of the Cabinet of U. S. Virgin Islands Governor, Honorable Albert Bryan, Jr., in the capacity of Director of the U. S. Virgin Islands Law Enforcement Planning Commission (LEPC). In this role he serves as the Chief Criminal Justice Policy Advisor to the Governor, as well as the head of the State Administering Agency (SAA) responsible for administrative oversight of United States Department of Justice (USDOJ) grant funds awarded to the U. S. Virgin Islands. He is a highly accomplished senior executive leader with over three (3) decades of experience in government operations, health care, criminal justice, human services, budgeting and emergency management, working across the public, private and nonprofit sectors.

• Member, National Governors Association, Criminal Justice Policy Advisors Network

• Member, Governor of the US Virgin Islands Workforce Development Advisory Board

• Member, Clinton Foundation Global Initiative Post Hurricane Recovery Network
• Member of several national professional organizations, as well as the boards of directors of numerous civic organizations throughout the U. S. Virgin Islands                    
• Former Interim and Acting Commissioner, and Deputy Commissioner of the Virgin Islands Department of Human Services
• Former Board Chairman and Executive Director of the St. Thomas East End Medical Center Corporation
• Former Board Chairman, British Virgin Islands Health Services Authority
• Former member of numerous government task forces and working groups on research, planning and policy initiatives related to safe communities, health care and social services
• Two-time recipient, "Who's Who Among International Professionals"
• Graduate of University of California, at Irvine, with concentration in Criminal Justice
