19th International Symposium of the World Society of Victimology

A flagship event of the World Victimology Society (WVS) for more than 50 years, the International Victimology Symposium is held every three years in different countries. Bringing together hundreds of WVS members, as well as experts, researchers, and professionals in fields related to victimology, the Symposium offers a unique platform for sharing scientific advances and innovative research, discussing policies and practices, and strengthening international collaboration to better meet victims' needs. 

The World Society of Victimology, together with the Société de criminologie du Québec, Plaidoyer Victimes and the Justice Center for Victims of Crime are proud to host the 19th International Symposium of Victimology in Montreal, Canada, from June 14 to 18, 2027. The event will be held at Concordia University under the theme of Transformative Justice. This major event provides an ideal opportunity to promote research and knowledge exchange, raise awareness of victimology, build professional networks, strengthen local, national, and international collaboration, develop policies, and advance evidence-based practices.
