About
Dr. Michael George has a career that spans over 43 years, working in law enforcement, state-level traffic safety, state-level youth alcohol enforcement and education, and evaluation and research. He currently functions as the PIRE Principal Investigator on several community-level projects related to substance misuse prevention and a state-level prevention evaluation South Carolina project, where he manages process and outcome evaluations, including evaluation design, data collection, and data analyses. In previous positions, he budgeted and scheduled project personnel. He directed data collection methods in multiple positions.
He used data analyses and literature reviews for best practices to produce presentations to governing bodies, boards, conference audiences, and residents to increase project and program understanding, transparency, and accountability. While evidence of his peer-reviewed publications in current and past positions is included in this resume, he also developed presentations for audiences at local, state, and national conferences and training sessions.
